I have no words to describe the deep sorrow we feel today for the Thornton Family and the loss of their son Nicholas. Our brave little man was finally called home to be with our Lord and Savior. Although he will be missed by his devoted parents and beloved family and friends, we know tonight, his body is new and he suffers no more. For we have been promised that his laughter rings as joyful noise among the angels at God’s throne.
To everyone who with loving kindness and generosity helped to purchase the van that transported Nicholas and his family these last few weeks back and forth to the hospital, we say Thank You from the bottom of our hearts. What is even sadder is that the very day we were preparing to announce we had hit our goal to pay off the van; we received the phone call that his fight was over. We want all of you to know that every dollar that you sent counted. You just can’t know what it meant to this family. There are precious moments that were spent in that transport that will never be forgotten.
At this point it is only our faith that can provide the strength to blindly move forward and stand firm for this family who has already suffered so much loss. Please pray for them, for his classmates who fought so hard to help him, and those who were undergoing treatment by his side and are still fighting the fight. May God grace you all with his peace and blessings.
With deepest sympathy,
